EDITORIAL: Slamfist- 2013

So, 2013 is well underway, and the zombie apocalypse that I was promised never came to fruition, which means that Slamfist Media is still here, and we are indeed still alive. Life has a way of getting in the way of doing the things you love, but I'm here to tell you that we are still working, and we will have things to show you in the future. For a little more information, hit the jump, and delve into some of my goals for 2013.

As anyone who has followed this blog knows, we are making an effort to create our own comic book. Efforts on that front continue unabated. My goal this year is to get a finalized script ready, and possibly even have a few test pages drawn up and ready to go. Where things go from there, is anyone's guess. I would like to see a finished product by some time next year, or at least some sort of definitive plan by that point. Once we have something a little more solid, I'll let you know.

Another thing I want to finalize this year (and hopefully sooner rather than later) is the redesign of the website. This site has served our needs for the short term, but I want something bigger, better, and more...Slamfist. And I'll admit, that the next iteration of the this site will likely be only temporary, I think it will be a step in the right direction. I just need to get a chance to get together and slam through the reformatting of all 100+ posts that we have made over the last year, no easy task I assure you.

Next goal? Move forward with developing at least one film project. I want to truly exemplify the multiple media approach that we are founded on. This first effort, may be utter garbage, and may never be seen by eyes outside of our inner circle, but it will be a step in the right direction.

If at all possible, I'd also like to begin developing our own podcast. Then, you will not only be able to read our words, but also hear from the demented minds behind the words! There are no promises on this, because I have to get the entire team behind this if it is going to work.

My final goal, is quite possibly my most ambitious, considering all that I have already laid out on the table. I want to make sure that the site continues to get updated. Regular blog posts, being a big part of that. Considering our Bi-weekly meeting schedule, I'm going to make it my mission, to try and post something in conjunction with our meetings. Whether it be a simple run down of a game we have tried, or even some teasers as to what the future has in store, my goal will be one post every two weeks from here on out.

So, suffice to say, this is shaping up to be a busy year. Lots to do, and a lot of insane goals. Hopefully, I am just crazy enough to accomplish some of these goals. As the year progresses, look forward to more posts, more art, and if I find the time, more movie reviews. See you in about two weeks, when I return to reviews, with my review of "Live Free or Die Hard".
