SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 13

So, moving into the office hurt my writing more than I had hoped. Still trying to get a decent buffer going, but now that there is actually a desk in here, maybe that will actually be possible. Still have a bunch of boxes to unpack, and I need to attempt to repair a broken desktop, but things are advancing slowly. I have started work on part 14, and have actually already gone through 4 re-writes on just the first two sentences. If all goes well, and I can get focused, next week will once again have two chapters.

But, after a slight delay, here is part 13.

A dozen parts of the Ron Stone story! Still working on part 13, and with all the rush to get into the new office, time is running short for me. SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 11

As I write this introduction, I have been up for 24 hours, I have been working at setting up the new office, and trying to handle the real job as well. So I'm unwinding watching some comedy on Netflix as I write. I'm really hoping to get back to the Buffy Rewatch soon. I've learned it is pretty much impossible to write Ron Stone sections, and give proper attention to the rewatch. Eventually I'll get the buffer back, and be able to focus again on the rewatch, but until then, I'll keep juggling.

SlamFiction: Ron Stone-Part 10

Wow, 10 parts already? Kinda shocked I made it this far in what I was hoping was going to be an exceedingly short exercise. Well, Nothing to be done about it now, except to keep going and see how many parts it ends up at. If I can advance the story this far, in 10 parts, I think I can possibly manage to finish everything off in about 25 to 30, maybe? And then after it is all said and done, comes the glorious task of editing it, making cuts and additions, and creating one master file that I can distribute to the three people that might actually be reading this!

This is what I refer to when writing the story, so take a gander, and get a peak at Ron Stone. I think it might offer a greater insight into the character. Next Wednesday is going to be the day for a Ron Stone filler. It will be related to the story but, much like I did with the Auerbach Journals, I think I'm going to discuss the character more. Because honestly, I want to give her more back story, without having to put it into the story itself... So be on the lookout for that on Wednesday, instead of the usual story bit. Sorry about that, but it is kinda necessary.

You know, I am writing this introduction instead of sleeping at the moment, like a complete idiot. So the links to the previous chapters will have to come later, or perhaps someone will have pity on me and do it for me... This section sees our heroine completely lose her shit again... But I think her actions are justified. So, seriously... Don't judge her, she's had a kinda rough day, ya know?

Well the SlamFiction experiment continues on. I think I'm going to have to seriously ramp up production on these, if I want to keep up a twice a week schedule. I either deleted a section, or I miscounted horribly... There appears to be only 2 and a half sections left in my buffer... Perhaps I should spend less time on the Buffy rewatch I am currently doing, and more time on the writing, because doing both obviously is not working so well.

SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 5

So welcome to part 5 of the SlamFiction experiment. Now coming at you twice a week until I either run out of material, or actually finish this undertaking.

Now for a little bit of randomness before I go into the story itself. Whenever I write, I tend to picture who would play the part of the characters if I were to make a movie of it. Ron Stone is no different. I have a very specific person in mind when I write her, and I use her to imagine just about everything Miss Stone does. I rarely tell people who the person I picture is. Main reason being, I don't ever know if it will change the reader's experience. 

Why did I ramble on like that? I want to know if anyone who reads the story can guess what actress I imagine when I write Miss Stone...

SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 4

And since the buffer content for the Ron Stone/ SlamFiction experiment has become so great, I'm going to add an extra post today, out of the kindness of my heart. At this point, even if I do post twice a week for the rest of the month, I should still be buffered through the end of the month, so... Why the hell not, right? 


I'm working on Ron Stone while also working obsessively on the story for two characters I created for the Supara universe, and am honestly doing fairly well juggling all of these assorted mental threads. Hopefully, myself or JLSpaw will be posting something in regards to these two characters in the coming week. SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 3

So, I have decided that setting an end to this might take a little longer than I had initially planned, however, once it is all said and done, I'm hoping to possibly put the whole story out as a free eBook... However donations would still be accepted... Might be fun to have tho whole thing in a single file for people that aren't me.

SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 2

Welcome to the second ever installment of SlamFiction. Once again, this will be my (hopefully) weekly serialized story. Currently I am posting the short story of Veronica "Ron" Stone. I highly recommend that you read these in order, because if you don't, well... you might not get the full effect. I am hoping to have enough of a buffer that I will be able to get a new "Chapter" out every Saturday at noon local time. (I'm in the Eastern US... so, do the math to figure out when they will post in your area.)

SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 1

What is "SlamFiction"? This is a new label I am planning on using for creative writing projects not associated with any of our other projects. All Supara related writing will continue to use the "Supara Files" label. What I needed was something new... and the term "SlamFiction" came to mind. SlamFiction will by nature be short. I want these to be quick reads, not novels. And My entries will generally be weekly features. Also, the intro for subsequent entries will be much shorter.

Now, what is Ron Stone, and why am I writing this?

I had a fun idea inspired by my days doing Improv. I asked my audience (or in this case my Twitter followers) to give me three things; a name, a place, and a situation. I got one response, and I decided to roll with it. The suggestion came from @Cwriter80 who said, and I quote:

"@SlamfistMedia Ron Stone, New York, New York, situation: 21st century technology fails to protect mankind from self desctruction. "

What follows the jump will be my first entry. While I didn't fully follow the exact premise set forth, his suggestion is what inspired the following. Enjoy.
