State of the fist: May 2013

For a proposed quarterly item, I have been doing a poor job of keeping up with this series, haven't I? So... Working on a schedule to keep myself on track with these things, and hopefully I won't fall too far behind again. As of right now, my next one is hopefully going to end up in July, and then follow quarterly after that. In the meantime, let's jump into this edition, as I catch you up to date with where we are. As always, read on after the jump.

REVIEW: 'Iron Man 3'

Most sane men in my position, would be in bed right now, wrestling with their dreams, rather than wrestling with words. But, if there is one thing I will never lay claim to, it is sanity. In a brief moment of clarity, I will say that I opted for a 9:00 showing, rather than the more traditional midnighter, but in the end... My work must go on, and I promised a review, and dammit all, I plan to deliver.

So let's dive right in shall we, before the adrenaline wears off, and exhaustion takes over. See you after the jump.

EDITORIAL: Frank's Addiction to the MMOs

In the past, I have mentioned, at least I hope I have, that I have a long-standing love-hate relationship with the world of MMORPGs. I have played a few of them, some I visited in depth, and others I kinda just drove through, and checked out the scenery and then left without so much as a second thought. And I have learned a lot about life, and the pursuit of fetch quests. So, if you will indulge me, as I wait for the release of Iron Man 3, I'd like to take you into the depths of my madness. Follow me, after the jump to see just why I keep coming back to these horrific realms of digital crack.

REVIEW: Evil Dead- Groovy Reimagining or Deadite in the water?

Recently, I was given the opportunity to see an advanced screening of the new "Evil Dead", and considering that it was one of my must-see movies of the year, who am I to turn it down. So with a heart full of worry, I stepped up to the plate, and checked out the advanced screening. Was it the groovy masterpiece that I desired, or was it a colossal waste of time? Only one way to find out... read on after the Jump!

NETFLIX ROUNDUP: Birdemic

So recently, Someone posted on Facebook, that Birdemic was getting a sequel, and after a brief moment sitting in the corner weeping inconsolably, I said to myself, "I have finally found definitive proof, that there is no god." For those, not familiar with this abomination, that makes "Green Lantern" look like the pinnacle of cinematic excellence, fear not! I have decided to force this mindless schlock onto my computer screen once again, and deliver to you the SHOCK and TERROR that is....

BIRDEMIC!

REVIEW: Oz, The Great and Powerful

Well, another movie off my most anticipated list, and we're still in March. This time, it is a piece by the wonderful Sam Raimi, who has brought such wonderful movies as "The Evil Dead", "Spider-Man", and to a lesser extent, "Drag me to Hell". Any time I see that name, it is automatically added to the list of movies that I HAVE to see. So when I saw that Sam Raimi was attached to a prequel of sorts to "The Wizard of Oz", naturally I knew that I had to see it. So in the end, was Oz really Great and Powerful, check it out after the jump to find out.
