SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 2

Welcome to the second ever installment of SlamFiction. Once again, this will be my (hopefully) weekly serialized story. Currently I am posting the short story of Veronica "Ron" Stone. I highly recommend that you read these in order, because if you don't, well... you might not get the full effect. I am hoping to have enough of a buffer that I will be able to get a new "Chapter" out every Saturday at noon local time. (I'm in the Eastern US... so, do the math to figure out when they will post in your area.)

SlamFiction: Ron Stone- Part 1

What is "SlamFiction"? This is a new label I am planning on using for creative writing projects not associated with any of our other projects. All Supara related writing will continue to use the "Supara Files" label. What I needed was something new... and the term "SlamFiction" came to mind. SlamFiction will by nature be short. I want these to be quick reads, not novels. And My entries will generally be weekly features. Also, the intro for subsequent entries will be much shorter.

Now, what is Ron Stone, and why am I writing this?

I had a fun idea inspired by my days doing Improv. I asked my audience (or in this case my Twitter followers) to give me three things; a name, a place, and a situation. I got one response, and I decided to roll with it. The suggestion came from @Cwriter80 who said, and I quote:

"@SlamfistMedia Ron Stone, New York, New York, situation: 21st century technology fails to protect mankind from self desctruction. "

What follows the jump will be my first entry. While I didn't fully follow the exact premise set forth, his suggestion is what inspired the following. Enjoy.
